should prostitution be legalised in Nairobi?

recently there has been debate as to whether prostitution should be legalised in Nairobi city.
if we look at the facts , this profession has been there for the longest time and it is still here  whether legal or illegal.  i tend to think that prostitution should just be legalised as it already exists but controlled! controlled in a sense that  sex shops be established and the prostitutes employed there be professionals  and thoroughly screened before engaging in the practice.this will see the prostitutes not going to the streets at night but rather have a daytime job and those who would want to go for night shifts would go but only to the sex shops.   what do you think?
